Liliaque (pronounced as lilac) was conceived 2 years ago, when the founder, May Cheung, decided to quit her corporate job and pursue her dream to bring comfortable, beautiful and affordable sleep and lounge wear to women. She saw the gap in the market and started drafting a business plan. By the end of the year, she had partnered with a designer with over 20 years experience in leading fashion houses to come up with her first line of basic sleep and lounge wear.
In order to provide Australian women with more choices, she also travelled the world to source for beautiful designer range that is not readily available in Australia. These other range not only complements her existing line but also shares the same belief in bringing comfortable, beautiful and affordable sleep and lounge wear to women.
“When Lilaque was launched online in 2009, we received fantastic response and feedback from customers” said Ms Cheung. “We have also recently expanded our home wear range to include aprons”.
The delightful aprons are all designed and handmade in Australia.

Lilaque has been working hard to bring the next beautiful range online soon with some of the prints exclusively designed in-house.
“It has been quite an exciting journey” Ms Cheung said. “We will be mixing our fabric selection to include cotton, rayon, viscose, modal and most importantly bamboo. Bamboo fabric is ecologically friendly, very soft, naturally antibacterial and hypoallergenic”.
